Migrating from aCar 4.8 to 5.0

aCar regularly adds features, improvements and bug fixes with each new version release.

The Google Play Store offers Android users two options when installing application updates. You can choose to have updates installed automatically. Or you can require Play Store to ask for your approval before installation can proceed. Check your Google Play Store settings to confirm how you would like to have updates installed.

 

Once Version 5.0 has been installed, open the aCar app. Now that aCar is part of the Fuelly.com family, you will be will be asked to synchronize your aCar data with Fuelly.com.* 

*If you are an existing Fuelly.com user, you will not have to complete this step. If you do not have a Fuelly.com account, you will be asked to create one. For more information on synchronization, click here.

To proceed, tap Connect to Fuelly.com.

 

 

aCar will ask you to classify your vehicle information to ensure proper data synchronization occurs. Tap Proceed to continue.

 

 

aCar will list any vehicles that need to be classified.

 

 

Tap Classify to proceed to the Edit Vehicle screen. Enter as many fields as possible to receive the most accurate fuel calculations.*

*Remember: You can also choose which fields to display by simply tapping the  icon in the upper right hand corner.

 

 

Scroll down to complete the remaining fields.

 

 

Make sure you select the country where your vehicle is currently being driven. If your vehicle is registered in the US, but you happen to be taking a road trip into Canada be sure to adjust this field before you enter a new Fuel-Up in the new country. Failure to do so will lead to data synchronization errors.

 

Once all the vehicle information has been added, click the  icon to save your vehicle.

 

 

Continue to classify any remaining vehicles. Once complete, you will be rerouted to the aCar console, which will now look like this:
